Welcome to Cape Town and the start of your South Africa adventure.
After collecting your luggage, you will be met in the arrivals hall by a local representative and transferred to your hotel.The remainder of the day is at leisure.

The standard check in is 2pm. Should you be arriving earlier in the day, the hotel can hold your luggage until your room is ready.
Arrival airport transfers are included as part of your package. You will be met upon arrival at the airport and transferred to your hotel.
If Inspiring Vacations has not provided your international airfares, please ensure you provide your flight details via your Traveller Hub portal no later than 90 days prior to travel so that your transfers can be confirmed.
If you are arriving early and have made your own arrangements prior to your tour commencing, airport transfers will not be included. However, if you are purchasing pre-nights accommodation as part of your Inspiring Vacations package, airport transfers will still be provided to the starting hotel.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before meeting your local guide for a tour briefing, followed by a half-day tour that showcases the best of the city of Cape Town. Cape Town city centre is rich in history and culture, and is alive with the sights and sounds of a diverse people who call it home. This tour will take you to some of the most celebrated attractions, from the Castle of Good Hope to the City Hall, where Nelson Mandela spoke to a crowd of hundreds of thousands after his release from prison. You will also see the cobbled streets and brightly coloured houses of the Bo-Kaap. Take a trip up Table Mountain, high above the clouds, on the revolving cable car, if the weather permits.
Return to your hotel this afternoon, where the rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 4 - Cape Town [Bus] Winelands
After breakfast, check out and meet your guide to embark on an exceptional day tour through the renowned Cape Winelands, where a carefully curated selection of premium tastings, tours, and indulgent experiences await. This is a day designed to elevate your senses and immerse you in the rich flavors of the region's finest offerings.
Visit several boutique wine estates for a tour and tastings and learn about the local wines. Enjoy an olive oil tasting and lunch at one of the picturesque estates.
After your tour you will be transferred to your boutique hotel in the winelands region where you have time to relax.

Day 5 - Cape Town [Plane] Victoria Falls
This morning you will be transferred to Cape Town Airport for your flight to Victoria Falls. On arrival you will be met by a local representative and transferred to your hotel.

No surprise why Victoria Falls is one of the seven Natural Wonders of the World. You'll understand it instantly as we tour the Zimbabwean side, for there are numerous spectacular vantage points along the width of The Falls, and the sight of this astounding gift of nature, simply takes your breath away. Walk through the permanent, beautifully misty rainforest which flanks the Falls, stopping to marvel at the principal sites as it cascades to the depths below the Main Falls, Horseshoe Falls, Rainbow Falls, the Boiling Pot, Cataract Island and Livingstone Island. We'll stand and watch, feel and listen to the spray and thunderous noise, as millions of litres of water tumble over the Falls into a series of narrow gorges below. The seventh Natural Wonder of the World puts on the most dramatic show for you, and you'll be privileged to have watched it.

Day 7 - Victoria Falls [Train] Rovos Rail
This afternoon you will be transferred to the train station in time to board the luxurious Rovos Rail for a 5pm departure.
Expect wood-panelled sleeper coaches, remodelled and refurbished to mint condition, with every modern convenience and comfort with fittings and facilities that are of the highest standard. The Pullman Suites can accommodate one or two passengers and have an en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet and basin. During the day, the suites have a comfortable sofa-seat with a conversion to double or twin beds (side-by-side or upper and lower bunks) for the evening. A dedicated host/ess is available at all times and services the suites daily.
After settling into your cabin you may choose to enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the bar carriage before enjoying a sumptuous dinner.
All meals are complemented by a selection of fine South African wines.

Day 8 - Rovos Rail [Train] Hwange National Park [Train]
An early continental breakfast will be served in the dining cars before disembarking the train for a morning game drive through Hwange National Park. Hwange is the largest national park in Zimbabwe and one of Africa's finest havens for wildlife. It is home to massive herds of elephant, buffalo, and zebra and has a very large concentration of giraffes. It is also home to many predators and endangered species plus varied birdlife.
Return to the train and freshen up before a delicious lunch is served on board.
Your afternoon is spent relaxing on board as the train travels between Dete and Gwaai along one of the world's longest stretches of straight railway line - 114 kilometers - and passes Bulawayo, the second city of Zimbabwe. Afternoon tea will be served in the lounge and observation cars as you enjoy the views, traversing baobab country.

Day 9 - [Train] Rovos Rail [Train]
Today is at leisure on board the train. Enjoy a relaxing morning, with breakfast served from 7am until 10am.
The journey will take you across the Limpopo River as you cross the border from Zimbabwe to South Africa. In Rudyard Kipling's Just So Stories, the 'Elephant's Child' departs his family for the "great grey-green, greasy Limpopo River, all set about with fever-trees, to find out what the Crocodile has for dinner."
Enjoy more superbly prepared meals on board, capping it off with a final dinner and drinks served in the elegant dining carriages.
Day 10 - [Train] Pretoria [Bus] Johannesburg
A final breakfast on board the train before arriving at the private Rovos Rail Station in Pretoria.
You will be met on arrival for your private transfer to your hotel in Johannesburg. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
Johannesburg is a vast city where opposites collide to create an interesting city of contradictions and extraordinary charm. Situated within the province of Gauteng, Johannesburg is home to the world's largest urban forest of approximately 10 million trees. The city is the economic powerhouse of South Africa, and as a result has some of the most high-end shops and restaurants in the country. This urban sophistication stands in stark contrast with the many local street vendors and informal African shops. The city has a surprisingly diverse range of activities on offer: popular stops include the sobering Apartheid Museum, Constitution Hill, Nelson Mandela Square, and Sandton City.
Day 11 - Johannesburg [Plane] Greater Kruger National Park Area
Enjoy breakfast at leisure before check out and meet your driver in the lobby of the hotel for your transfer to the airport. Board your flight to Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport where, on arrival, you will be transferred to your 5-star safari lodge located on a Private Game Reserve in the Greater Kruger area.
A game-rich area, you can expect to see the Big 5 and more on multiple game drives and guided bush walks. Even from your private deck of your luxury lodge, game may be spotted at the nearby watering hole and along the dry riverbed. You can cool off in the beautiful swimming pool, relax in the spacious lounges and look forward to decadent bush dining in a variety of venues. An excellent wine cellar also provides fine wines to accompany meals.
Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy an afternoon game drive this afternoon (if arriving at the lodge by 3pm).

Flight time will be approximately 1 hour.
Your included flight allows one checked bag up to 20kg (44lbs), and one 8kg (17 lbs) carry-on. Your flight will be unescorted.
Day 12 - Greater Kruger National Park Area
Enjoy twice-daily game drives across the 15,000 hectare Private Game Reserve, home to Africa's most famous wildlife, the Big Five. Spot lions, elephants, buffalos, rhinos and leopards on both game drives and offered bush walks. This reserve doesn't only offer a chance to get well acquainted with the wild spirit of Africa, it has a selection of luxurious safari lodges that offer decadent African spa treatments, as well as mouth watering cuisine. This safari experience is all encompassing.
Between drives, enjoy sumptuous meals freshly prepared on site from local fresh ingredients as well as a wide selection of local alcoholic and selected premium beverages are all included during your entire stay.

Day 13 - Greater Kruger National Park Area
Continue to explore the private reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. Or simply choose to relax and enjoy the lodge facilities such as a dip in the pool or an optional spa treatment (not included). Daily activities include game tracking, day and night game drives and guided bush walks.

Day 14 - Greater Kruger National Park Area [Plane] Johannesburg
After breakfast you will be transferred to Hoedspruit for your included flight to Johannesburg Airport where your African journey comes to an end.
