Do I need a passport to travel?

For all international travel (including New Zealand) you need a passport with a minimum of 6 months validity from the date or arrival back to Australia and plus a minimum of 2 blank pages.Your passport must also
- Be in good condition with no tears or cuts
- Have no pages have been removed
- Have had no alteration done to it
- Have the photo page clear and legible
- Have no water damage.
Domestic (Travel within Australia)
For domestic travel, you need one of the following:- An Australian driver's license
- A valid passport
- A Photo ID card issued by an Australian State Government or the Australian Federal Government.
If you don't have any of these, please go to the airline's website or contact the airline for further information about the forms of identification they accept.
Please ensure your booking has the correct name as per your passport or Government-issued identification.
