Travel Insurance should cover loss of deposit, cancellation, medical expenses (including repatriation costs to Australia), loss or damage to personal baggage, loss of money and other additional expenses that may be incurred in the instance where services need to be extended or curtailed due to illness or other insurable risk. Travel Insurance is active from the date of purchase and is non-refundable after the initial cooling off period. The cooling off period is dependent on what Insurance Company and policy type you select.
