Restricted or dangerous items
Items that are restricted or prohibited from being transported by air are classified as dangerous items or goods that could potentially jeopardize the safety of an aircraft and its passengers.
The classification of these items is typically determined by regulatory authorities and governed accordingly. Dangerous goods can include, but are not limited to, flammable liquids, organic peroxides, lithium batteries, explosives and firearms.
Such items are barred from both carry-on and checked luggage.
Restrictions are also imposed on carry-on baggage for liquids, aerosols, and gels on international flights.
While these items are permitted in the cabin, they must not exceed 100 millilitres and should be packed in a resealable clear plastic bag of 1 litre or less.
