Be met at the Cairo airport before being transferred to Stiegenberger Pyramids Hotel for overnight. 

In the morning you’ll be picked up from your hotel for a full day sightseeing tour. Start with a guided tour of the Great Pyramids of Giza and Sphinx. It is believed that Khafre’s workers shaped the stone into the lion and gave it their king’s face over 4,500 years ago. Continue to The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) is the world’s largest archaeological museum. The museum’s spacious galleries are designed to immerse visitors in the story of ancient Egypt, with interactive displays and multimedia presentations that bring history to life. The museum has 107 halls and exhibits over 120,000 objects from the pre-historic era to the Greco-Roman period. See the boy-king Tutankhamun’s treasures discovered in his tomb including god-like golden mask, two of his three coffins along with stunning jewellery, chariots, chairs and toys. In Edfu see the temple that is dedicated to Horus with inscriptions that describe the founding and construction methods of similar temples; completed during the Ptolemaic age it also explains various daily rituals and myths of ancient times. Sail to Kom Ombo and visit its Temple. In ancient Egypt the city was important to the caravan routes from Nubia and various gold mines. (B, L, D) 

Visit the legendary Philae, the sacred monuments built for the cult of Isis and Osiris and the modern High Dam of Aswan. It was an engineering miracle when it was built in the 1960s. It contains 18 times the material used in the Great Pyramid of Cheops. Afternoon sail by traditional felucca boat around Kitchener’s island and Agha Khan Mausoleum. (B, L, D)
