What to drink?

The mixologists at the Bundaberg Distillery have come up with an Aussie take on a classic drink

This delicious recipe varies from the classic Moscow Mule by just one ingredient – it is made using another Aussie classic: Bundaberg Rum. It has a smoothness that can only come from the taste of a spiced rum. Combined with Bundaberg Ginger Beer it’s a match made down under!

Our top travel tips…

  • Be mindful to factor in the Great Barrier Reef environmental management charge, which helps preserve and protect the reefs floor and marine life.
  • Ensure the beach is safe to swim in before swimming as beaches could be home to marine stingers and sharks.
  • Avoid school holiday periods at the theme parks as they can be quite crowded and long waits for rides.
  • Always be sun safe when out exploring the beaches and national parks as the humidity can be quite high depending on the time of year.
  • Apartment style accommodation can be a great option for families who are on a budget but still wanting to be close to main attractions and city centres.
